Previously located up a hill on a saddle in the Asaro Valley, below Mt. Gurupoka, the new guest house is at the bottom of the hill with easy access. It's a 30-minute drive from Goroka along the Highlands Highway, past Daulo and the Asaro River. Beyond the guest house, lie vegetable fields, zig-zagging up up the mountainside. From the saddle, 20 minutes up the path you will find stunning 360-degree views. The new guest house has one building with the kitchen, dining room, and two double and four twin bedrooms, and a thatched building with 10 twin bedrooms. Behind the accommodation, down a clear path, are the ladies and gents (separate) "long drop" toilets. The showers are behind the main building. From

Bed linen, blankets, and towels are provided, as is soap and a towel for pre-meal handwashing. The clan elders have yet to form a marketing committee to decide on the logo and fragrance for the complementary, branded, in-house shower gel range, but there is shower gel in the shower area. The shower water is rainwater held in a clean tank that runs on a gravity system. Hot water can be provided in a plastic basin upon request.
Full board rates: $75 per person per night. Return transfers: $70 per vehicle, takes up to 15 people.
